On June 4, 2016, in the frames of the Days of Narva, 2016 Soapbox Derby race will take place. The derby is a downhill race of motor-less vehicles. To participate in the race, you will need to make a vehicle, which should be able not only to reach the finish-line but amaze and amuse the public with its original design. All the participants will receive nice prizes from the organizers and sponsors, and the winners will be awarded very good presents.

There are three obligatory requirements to vehicle design:

     ● no engine (vehicle runs downhill)
     ● installed stirring system (ability to make turns)
     ● installed breaking and stopping system.

There are no more restrictions either in materials or size. Original design is welcomed. A vehicle can be decorated with any visual or textual information (e.g. ads) that does not violate the laws of Estonia or ethical norms.

A jury evaluates the design and originality of the construction. Winners as well as participants get prizes from the organizers and sponsors.

REGISTRATION IS OBLIGATORY! Before May 29 an e-mail containing the name of the team or the vehicle itself, designer's info (an individual, organization, company, family, etc.), number of people on the team, age of the «pilot» and team members, contact info (e-mail address, phone number), also if applicable, a request for transportation to/from Narva, including residential address, must be sent to the following address: info@gagarin.ee
