We have great news! Actually – we have it together with you. 😄 Our project *"Creation of the Past – Inspiration for the Future" ("Mineviku looming - tuleviku inspiratsioon")* has been supported!

As part of the project, we will soon hold a big series of events – workshops, lectures, excursions, and training courses. All of these events are united by one idea and one goal – to know, understand, and appreciate the heritage that Narva has received from the city's main industrial giant, Kreenholm Manufacturing.

We have prepared both familiar and brand-new workshops for you. For example, we will introduce you to the amazing technique of applying images to fabric or paper – cyanotype. We will also make beautiful brooches with elements stylized after Kreenholm fabric patterns. In addition, we will create artistic stamps for block printing using carving tools. We will decorate shopper bags or your clothes with these stamps. The first in this exciting series will be the workshops on firing painting – creating small stained glass pieces with contour images on the theme of Kreenholm, and we will frame the glass in a leaded stained glass profile.

In addition to workshops, there will be a wonderful lecture on the history of Kreenholm fabrics, several practical classes on color theory, where you will learn how to mix paints to get the desired colors – we’ve been dreaming of these lessons for a long time. We will also go on excursions to the art gallery and Kreenholm itself. Additionally, we will visit the "Siniilnik Workshop" by Lake Peipus, where we will immerse ourselves in the creative atmosphere of decorating and embellishing fabrics using historical methods. So, this fantastic program awaits us in the next few months, and we are personally very excited about it.
